COTNOIR & SIRMAN NAMED ALL-CONFERENCE

Former OJHLers Pier-Olivier Cotnoir (pictured - photo courtesy of Jennifer Langille Photography) and Shawn Sirman were both named members of the ECAC-East All-Conference Teams for their performances throughout the 2012-13 NCAA Division III season.

F - Pier-Olivier Cotnoir (Norwich University Cadets) - 1st Team All-Conference
The native of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec would play three full seasons in the OJHL from 2006-09 and would lead the Peterborough Stars in scoring all three years of his career, gradually increasing his totals from 47 points as a rookie in 2006-07 to 67 points in 2008-09, including 48 assists in 42 regular season games played.

G - Shawn Sirman (New England College Pilgrims) - 2nd Team All-Conference
The native of Blezard Valley, Ontario played two seasons in the OJHL as a member of the Quinte West Pak and Kingston Voyageurs.  Sirman joined West Pack as a 17-year old in 2007-08 and would post respectable numbers despite playing on a weaker club.  The following season he moved down the highway to Kingston and would be instrumental in leading the Vees to the 2009 OJHL and Dudley-Hewitt Cup championship victories.  Along the way, Sirman was a member of Team Canada East, winning the bronze medal at the 2008 World Junior 'A' Challenge, Team East, winning the 2008 CJHL Prospect Game series, and the Central-Ruddock Senior All-Star Team, stopping 18 of 21 shots during a 6-3 loss at the 2009 OJHL All-Star Game.  It was the playoffs, however, where Sirman truely stood out, posting 19 wins, a 2.41 goals against average and a .932 save percentage in leading the Vees to their first Buckland Cup title and an appearance at the 2009 RBC Cup National Junior 'A' Championship.

Eastern College Athletic Conference Interim Commissioner Steve Bamford announced today the ECAC Men's East all-conference hockey teams for the 2012-13 season. In a vote conducted by league coaches, regular-season champions Norwich University had 7 players named to the ECAC Men's East All-Conference teams, headlined by ECAC Men's East Player of the Year senior Colin Mulvey. Zeke Testa of Babson and Peter MacIntyre of University of Massachusetts, Boston were selected as Men's East Goalie of the Year and Men's East Rookie of the Year, respectively. MacIntyre's coach Peter Belise was voted Coach of the Year.

Mulvey (Worcester, Mass./Valley Warriors EJHL) helped lead the Cadets to a first-place finish, this season. Mulvey ended the regular season with 16 goals and 10 assists for 26 points during conference play, The senior forward was third in ECAC Men's East in points (26) and he led the league in goal scoring (16). He was tied for second in short handed goals and also led the league with 8 game-winning goals.  Testa (Wellesley, Mass./Berkshire School) of Babson College was voted Goalie of the Year after posting a conference record of 5-2-3. Over the season he compiled a .930 save percentage and a 1.88 goals-against average in ECAC Men's East league play. Testa led the league in save percentage and as a freshman in 2009-2010 he was named to the Men's East All-Rookie Team.

MacIntyre (Norfolk, Mass./Boston Bandits EJHL) was unanmiously voted Rookie of the Year for his outstanding play this season. He helped the Beacons secure the second seed in the Men's East tournament. In conference play, he scored 15 goals and 8 assists for 23 points in the regular season. He was second in the league for goals scored and led all freshmen scoring. Nationally, he is third with goals scored in all of Division III. The forward headlines a trio of University of Massachussetts, Boston freshmen named to the All-Rookie Team.

Belise led the Beacons to a 11-5-2 conference record (18-5-2 overall) and second place finish this season after a 9-8-1 conference campaign (13-10-3 overall) last season. Behind the bench this year, Belise became the second-winningest coach in program history with 64 victories.
