The Hummelstown, Pennsylvania native played one season in the OJHL (then CCHL) as a member of the Whitby Fury in 2009-10.  The 17-year old would tie for third on the club with 19 goals and finish sixth overall in scoring with 34 points in 47 games played, while adding a pair of assists during the playoffs.

Below is the official press release from the Plattsburgh State Athletics website (www.gocardinalsports.com):

Dillan Fox of the Plattsburgh State men’s hockey team has been named State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Rookie of the Week, for the week ending Feb. 24.

Fox opened the scoring just 27 seconds into the second period, netting his ninth of the year off a deflection in front of the net to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead. The Hummelstown, Pa. native added an assist early in the third on a power-play goal that put Plattsburgh State up by a score of 3-1. Fox has tallied multiple points in a game on six occasions this semester and this week’s honor marks his second weekly award of the year.

The Cardinals will travel to Oswego on Saturday for the SUNYAC Championship game at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday at 10 a.m. through the Campus Center Box Office.
