Georgetown 2 vs. Toronto Lakeshore 0 (Georgetown leads series 1-0)
In an extremely tight-checking afffair that would see no scoring through the first two periods of play, the Georgetown Raiders opened on home ice with a 2-0 shutout of the visiting Toronto Lakeshore Patriots. Leading the way for the Raiders was late-season acquisition Keegan Wilson, who stopped all 29 Patriots shots that he faced to earn his first OJHL playoff shutout and be named 2nd Star of the Game. Midway through the 3rd period, Jacob Bauchman, named 1st Star, broke the deadlock and Steve Hladin added an empty netter for the victory. Patriots netminder Joseph Pianta stopped 26 Raiders shots and was named 3rd Star for his efforts. Game two in the best-of-seven series goes Friday night at the MasterCard Centre in Etobicoke with an 8:00pm puck drop.
