RAGUSEO COMMITS TO OSWEGO STATE
Whitby Fury captain Chris Raguseo (photo credit - Shawn Muir/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Oswego State University Lakers beginning with the 2013-14 SUNYAC season.
The Pickering, Ontario native joined the Fury as a 16-year old rookie in 2008-09, the club's first in Whitby, and would play five full seasons with the same team. During each of his five seasons in the OJHL, Raguseo would see his offensive totals increase, capping off this past season with 36 points to finish fourth on the Fury roster and eighth among all OJHL rearguards. The Fury's leader, both on-and-off the ice, was better know for his solid, defensive presence and was an integral part of the club's success in reaching their first-ever OJHL Championship Series in 2011-12, finishing tied for third in playoff scoring among defencemen with 11 points. Raguseo would also play for the OJHL East Division All-Stars during the first two years of the Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge, leading the East to the tournament title this past year in Wellington, Ontario.
Congratulations to Chris and best of luck as he takes his game to the next level!
