CUSAN COMMITS TO LAKE FOREST
Oakville Blades forward Jimmy Cusan (photo credit - Graeme Reid/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Lake Forest College Foresters beginning with the 2012-13 MCHA season.
A native of Oakville, Ontario, Jimmy Cusan played four games with his hometown Blades in 2010-11 as an affiliate from the Oakville Rangers Midget 'AAA' program, notching his first two junior assists. The following season, he made the jump to the OJHL full-time, joining the nearby Mississauga Chargers, where he would spend the next season and a half. As a rookie last season, Cusan would finish second on the club in scoring with 19 goals and 38 points in 49 games played. After another great start this season, Cusan was returned home to the Blades just past the midway point of the season. Playing a different role with the offensively-inclined club, Cusan saw his offensive numbers drop slightly, but helped the Blades down the stretch drive and then recorded two goals and three points in three playoff games.
Congratulations to Jimmy and best of luck as he continues his career in the NCAA!
