ROBINSON SIGNS WITH OTTAWA
Former Hamilton Red Wing Buddy Robinson (photo courtesy of LSSU Athletics), who played most recently with the Lake Superior State University Lakers, signed his first NHL contract today with the Ottawa Senators.
The Bellmaur, New Jersey native joined the club in 2009-10 as an 18-year old rookie and would record 11 goals and 23 points in 49 games played. During season two, Robinson was one of the club's offensive leaders, posting 38 points in 32 games played with the club before he was moved to finish out the season in the CCHL with the Nepean Raiders.

The Ottawa Senators announced today that the club has signed forward Buddy Robinson to a three-year entry-level contract. Robinson recently completed his sophomore collegiate season when his Lake Superior State Lakers fell to Bowling Green in the first round of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs.
A native of Bellmawr, N.J., Robinson played in 38 games this past season, scoring eight times and adding eight assists, while recording 48 penalty minutes. In two years with the Lakers, he recorded 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists), while registering 85 penalty minutes over 77 games.
Prior to attending Lake Superior State, the 6-5, 236-pound winger, spent parts of two seasons (2009-10 and 2010-11) with the Hamilton Red Wings of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (Tier II) where he tallied 61 points (26 goals and 35 assists) and 101 penalty minutes over 81 games. Robinson played the final 19 games of the 2010-11 season locally with the CCHL’s Nepean Raiders where he recorded 24 points (five goals, 19 assists) and 20 penalty minutes.
