The Mississauga, Ontario native played three seasons in the OJHL from 2007-10 split between the Rangers and Raiders. He entered the league as a 17-year old rookie with North York in 2007-08 and would promptly play the majority of his club's games, posting a 16-14-1 record with four shutouts. The following season he was moved to the Georgetown Raiders and would help lead his new club to the OPJHL regular season title with a 32-5-1 record to lead the league in wins, while recording a 2.78 goals against average. Capobianco would then lead the Raiders to eight consecutive playoff victories before ultimately falling to the Buckland Cup runner-up Oakville Blades in a hard-fought seven game series. He was again among the league leaders in 2009-10 posting another stellar 28-7-3 record with a 2.14 goals against average, while earning a spot on the South-West Senior All-Star Team for the 2009 OJAHL All-Star Game.
