The St. Michael's Buzzers evened up the best-of-seven South-West Conference Final at one win apiece, downing the North York Rangers 4-1 in game two at the Herb Carnegie Arena.

The Rangers continued firing on all cylinders in period one, but Buzzers netminder Adrian Ignagni continued his stellar play, turning aside 18 shots, and Matt Buckles opened the scoring with power play marker at 15:32.

After the two teams traded second period goals, with Scott Maguire notching his first of the playoffs and Jake Evans scoring the eventual game-winner, the series escalated, taking on a slightly nasty edge.  The rough stuff culminated at the 14:43 mark of the period when all 10 players on ice were involved in a scuffle that included Ignagni, and saw 90 minutes in penalties handed out by the officials.  After a lengthy delay, the two teams went to the dressing rooms with the Buzzers holding a slight edge.

With many of the series best players sitting in the box for much of the third, the Buzzers played one of their best periods of the series and Shane Conacher potted a pair of goals to finish the Rangers 4-1.

Conacher would be named the game's first star with Maguire and Cody Doiron named the second and third star respectively.

The series resumes with game three taking place on Saturday afternoon, March 30 with puck drop at 4:00pm.
