SCHUG COMMITS TO QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY
Kingston Voyageurs captain Michael Schug (photo credit - Dave Powers/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Queen's University Gaels beginning with the 2013-14 OUA season.
The native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario recently completed his third full season as a member of the Vees in 2012-13. The heart-and-soul of the club, Schug was named captain this season, leading his team to a second consecutive appearance in the Conference Championship, losing a heart-breaker in game seven overtime to Newmarket. A model of consistency throughout his career, Schug would post similar offensive numbers each season to finish with 36 goals and 92 points in 138 regular season games.
