DZIJACKY COMMITS TO UOIT
Kingston Voyageurs netminder Colin Dzijacky (photo credit - Catherine Reid/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks beginning with the 2013-14 OUA season.
The native of Dryden, Ontario joined the Vees midway through this season after playing in both the BCHL with the Salmon Arm SilverBacks and the MHL with the Woodstock Slammers. Backing up OJHL Goaltender-of-the-Year Charlie Finn, Dzijacky posted a 7-2-1 record with two shutouts in 10 games played, including a 2.36 goals against average and a .935 save percentage. Last year, the Thunder Bay Kings product played in the AJHL with the Grande Prairie Storm and the SJHL with the Humboldt Broncos who hosted the 2012 RBC Cup.
