LORENZ COMMITS TO SOUTHERN MAINE
Toronto Lakeshore Patriots forward Kelby Lorenz (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the University of Southern Maine Huskies beginning with the 2013-14 ECAC East season.
The Mississauga, Ontario native made the jump to the OJHL from the Vaughan Kings Midget 'AAA' program in 2009-10, joining the Dixie Beehives. The 17-year old rookie would finish ninth on the club in scoring, recording 15 points in 30 games played. After missing the 2010-11 season, Lorenz joined the Orangeville Flyers in 2011-12 and would finish fourth in scoring with 10 goals and 30 points in only 37 regular season games played, while also notching four assists during his first taste of playoff action. The responsible, two-way forward's totals would decrease slightly this season and after 34 games, he was moved to the Patriots for the playoff stretch drive. Lorenz finished the year with 36 points in 49 games played to finish his OJHL career.
Congratulations to Kelby and best of luck at Southern Maine!
