Kingston Voyageurs alternate captain Graham Yeo (photo credit - Robert John Boucher/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Plattsburgh State University Cardinals beginning with the 2013-14 SUNYAC season.

The native of Bracebridge, Ontario joined the OJHL as a 16-year old member of the nearby Huntsville Otters in 2009-10.  The youngster notched 15 points in 46 regular season games played.  Yeo would be one of the club's go-to guys in year two, finished sixth in scoring on the club with 39 points in 50 games played, although the team would face disappointment after falling in the preliminary round of the post-season.  However, they would get a chance to redeem themselves as the host of the 2011 Dudley-Hewitt Cup, ultimately falling in the championship game to the OJHL champion Wellington Dukes.

Following the season, Yeo was on the move to Kingston, where he continued his progression as a member of the Vees, finishing fifth on the club in scoring during his first season, notching 16 goals and 37 points in 46 games played, before adding another six playoff points during the Vees surprising playoff run.  His efforts during the season, earned Yeo a spot as a member of the OJHL East Division All-Stars that competed at the inaugural Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge held in Smiths Falls, Ontario.  This past season, the veteran centre proudly display an 'A' on his chest as he posted career-highs of 17 goals and 48 points to finish third on the team in scoring, while competing at the Central Canada Cup for the second consecutive year, this time helping the East Division capture the tournament title for the OJHL.  Yeo then led Kingston on another memorable playoff run, ultimately falling in game seven overtime of the North-East Conference Championship to Newmarket.  He would tie for the team lead with eight goals, while also finishing tied for second on the Vees with 14 points.

"Graham was a solid dependable player for our club the two seasons that he was here after being acquired in a trade with Huntsville," said Voyageurs head coach Colin Birkas.  "'Yeozy' prided himself on being a playoff player and was part of two great runs that we had in '12 and '13.  Graham's leadership and on ice play are going to be extremely hard to replace but we wish Yeo nothing but the best at Plattsburgh."

Congratulations to Graham and best of luck as he moves on to the next stage of his hockey and academic careers!
