TENENBAUM COMMITS TO BROCK
North York Rangers captain Dana Tenenbaum (photo credit - Amy Deroche/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Brock University Badgers, beginning with the 2013-14 OUA season.
The Mississauga, Ontario native joined the OJHL as a 17-year old affiliate in 2009-10 with the Brampton Capitals. Tenenbaum would spend two seasons with the Caps, before moving West to join the BCHL's Coquitlam Express to start the 2011-12 season. After only ten games, he was returned to Ontario with a trade to the Wellington Dukes, who would subsequently send him on to North York following a five game stint. The hard-nosed, 6'4", 210 lbs. rearguard would lead the Rangers with 121 penalty minutes, also 14th highest in the OJHL.
One of the club's leaders, both on-and-off the ice, Tenenbaum would be named captain of the Rangers and help lead them to one of the best seasons in franchise history. He would set a career-high with eight assists as North York finished second in the South Division and then upset the regular season South-West Conference champion Buffalo Jr. Sabres in the playoffs, before falling to the eventual league champion St. Michael's Buzzers.
Congratulations to Dana and best of luck in the OUA!
