Thirty-six former OJHL players, now plying their trade in ECAC Division I hockey, have all been named members of the presitigious ECAC All-Academic Team by having a grade point average of 3.00 or higher.

Leading the way with eight OJHL graduates were the RPI Engineers, followed closely behind by the Clarkson Golden Knights with seven of our former players.  From an OJHL club perspective, botht the Georgetown Raiders and Wellington Dukes had six former players each named All-Academic, while the Stouffville Spirit had five players listed.

Eight of the 36 players finished out their collegiate careers, having been named All-Academic in each of their four seasons of NCAA hockey.  The sign of a true student-athlete, the impressive feat was accomplished by Eric Axell, Nick D'Agostino, Mike Dalhuisen, Omar Kanji, Nick Maricic, Matt O'Grady, Cody Rosen and Marc Senecal.
