Former OJHLers Mathieu Cadieux (pictured - photo credit: Gabe Dickins/Plattsburgh Athletics) and Brett Zeggil have both been named to the 3rd Academic All-America Division III Men's At-Large Team for their efforts both on-and-off the ice during the 2012-13 season.

Mathieu Cadieux (Markham, Peterborough Cobourg)
After playing two games for the Markham Waxers in 2006-07 as an affiliated midget, the native of Oshawa, Ontario joined the Peterborough Stars full-time beginning in 2007-08.  The lanky netminder would post respectable numbers, consistently with a save percentage over .900, spending a year a half with the Stars before being moved to the nearby Cobourg Cougars.  Following the 2008-09 season, after being named to the OHA's All-Prospect Team, Cadieux accepted a scholarship opportunity to attend Quinnipiac University.  He returned to the Cougars in 2010-11, helping the club to their first plus-500 finish since 2004-05, before finally landing at Plattsburgh last season.

Brett Zeggil (Collingwood)
The native of Priceville, Ontario joined the OJHL as an 18-year old member of the Collingwood Blue in 2006-07, where he finished third on the club in scoring with 14 goals and 28 points in 48 regular season games played.  After spending a year with the Junior 'C' Hanover Barons, he returned to Collingwood in 2008-09 to finish out his junior career as captain of the Blues.  He would record similar statistics, 14 goals and 27 points, however, this time in only 28 games played.  Zeggil would add another eight points in four playoff games as the Blues lost three games to one to Aurora in the first round.  Following the season, he joined the Castleton State College Spartans and wrapped up his four year collegiate career this season.

Congratulations to both on the honour and best of luck in their future endeavours!
