PRYCE COMMITS TO BUFFALO STATE
North York Rangers alternate captain Taylor Pryce (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Buffalo State College Bengals beginning with the 2013-14 SUNYAC season.
The Newmarket, Ontario native joined the Pickering Panthers as a 17-year old in 2010-11 and posted 11 points in 49 games played, while playing a defensively conscious game. One of the leaders on the club in 2011-12, Pryce would finish second on the Panthers in scoring with 28 assists and 35 points in 45 regular season games, while adding three points in four post-season contests. A key member of Pickering's penalty killing unit, Pryce led the entire OJHL with five shorthanded assists during the season and his play was noticed by South Division opponent the North York Rangers, who would pick him up during the off-season. Playing with the high-powered Rangers offence this past season, Pryce would take on a more defensive role, but continued to excel at both ends of the ice, recording career-highs with 22 goals and 36 points during the regular season. He then notched another 13 playoff points in helping North York upset the first place Buffalo Jr. Sabres, before falling to St. Michael's in the Conference Final.
Congratulations to Taylor on the commitment and best of luck as he takes his game to the next level!
