LANDRY COMMITS TO MINOT STATE

Burlington Cougars forward Alex Landry (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Minot State University Beavers beginning with the 2013-14 ACHA season.

The native of Gatineau, Quebec spent the past two seasons in the OJHL, joining the league out of the MJHL in 2011-12 as a member of the Orangeville Flyers.  The slick skating forward notched seven goals and ten points in 33 regular season games with the Flyers, but would be moved to the Burlington Cougars in the off-season.  Playing on the young Cougars squad, Landry would improve his offensive output to 15 points on the season, while helping lead the club to a post-season berth by finishing eighth in the South-West Conference standings.

"Alex is a dynamic forward who brings some added speed up front," said Beavers head coach Wade Regier.  "He is excited and motivated to be a part of our program for the upcoming season. Alex will be counted on bring a lot of energy to the line-up."
