WHITTAKER COMMITS TO MERCYHURST
North York Rangers forward Matthew Whittaker (photo credit - Andy Corneau/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Mercyhurst University Lakers beginning with the 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey season.
The Toronto, Ontario native joined the Rangers last season out of the Don Mills Flyers Midget 'AAA' program. The 16-year old rookie would record 18 points in 51 regular season games played to help the Rangers to one of the best records in franchise history; ultimately upsetting the Conference champion Buffalo Jr. Sabres before falling to the eventual league champion St. Michael's Buzzers in the South-West Conference Final.
