Oakville Blades forward Mark Bzowey (photo courtesy of the Oakville Blades) has committed to the Kitchener Rangers and has signed an Ontario Hockey League agreement.

Bzowey was the Rangers' 7th round pick in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. The 16 year old had a tremendous campaign with the Minor Midget 'AAA' Oakville Rangers last season, helping lead the squad to the OHL Cup Championship. The club's alternate captain recorded 30 goals and 73 points in 63 games played, while putting up an additional seven points during the OHL Cup tournament.  Additionally, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2013 OMHA Minor Midget AAA Championship after leading the tournament in scoring with four goals and four assists in five games.

"I'm extremely honoured to have this opportunity with such a legendary, grade A organization," Bzowey said. "Signing with the Rangers is a dream come true and I can't thank the many people who have helped me get to this point enough. I'm looking forward to main camp where I will have the chance to see how my abilities stack up against OHL players and other OHL prospects."

The young Oakville, Ontario native has committed to the Blades for the upcoming 2013-14 season after signing with the club back in July.
