Trenton Golden Hawks forward Loren Ulett (photo credit - Amy Deroche/OJHL Images) has officially signed with the Kingston Frontenacs and will join the club for the 2013-14 Ontario Hockey League season.

The 18-year old native of Port Perry, Ontario joined the OJHL out of the South Central Coyotes midget program as a member of the Streetsville Derbys in 2010-11.  Playing a hard-nosed, physical game, Ulett notched 13 points while also recording 134 penalty minutes in 47 regular season games played.  The following year saw him join the Cobourg Cougars as part of the club's merger with the Derbys.  Continuing his hard-hitting presence, Ulett posted similar numbers in Cobourg, while also getting a long-look from the Peterborough Petes, although never playing a game for the club.  After the Cougars got off to a slow start in 2012-13, Ulett was one of the casualties, being traded to Division-rival Trenton after only nine games played.  He would post career-highs under the tutelage of Jerome Dupont, finishing the season with 13 goals and 26 points as the club captured the regular season title.  Despite facing the bitter disappointment of falling to his former club in the first round of the playoffs Ulett returned this season ready for the next level and would impress the Frontenacs management at training camp to earn his spot.

Congratulations to Loren and best of luck in Kingston!
