LAIDLEY COMMITS TO ST. LAWRENCE
Aurora Tigers forward Michael Laidley (pictured 2011-12 with Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves at the 2012 TELUS Cup National Midget 'AAA' Championship - photo credit: Matthew Manor/Hockey Canada Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the St. Lawrence University Saints beginning with the 2015-16 ECAC season.
The native of Little Current, Ontario joined the Tigers this season after spending last year as captain of the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves Midget 'AAA' squad, while also playing as an affiliate in the playoffs with the NOJHL's Sudbury Nickel Barons. Laidley makes the jump to the OJHL after an illustrious and award-filled minor hockey career in Northern Ontario, including an appearance at the 2012 TELUS Cup, National Midget 'AAA' Championship. The diminutive forward will help key the Tigers attack for the next two seasons before making the jump to NCAA hockey.
Congratulations to Michael and best of luck in his OJHL career!
