Highlights

FIVE (5) Game Minimum per Youth Division
All teams in all youth birth year divisions will be guaranteed to play a minimum of 5 games at State Wars

Individual Online Tryout Registration
All players MUST register online at www.statewarshockey.com to be eligible for their state/provincial tryout. The deadline to register will be listed on each state/provincial page. After pre-registering ALL players will receive a confirmation email and any information they may need to know for their tryout. About 1 week prior to the tryout date, the actual tryout schedule will be posted at www.statewarshockey.com. Please do not wait until the last minute to register for your state tryout, there is a good possibility that some tryouts will be closed out due to the large number of players registering.

19 Separate Divisions
State Wars Divisions: Select 2005, Select 2004, Select 2003, Select 2002, Select 2001, Select 2000, Select '99, Select '98, Select '97, Select '96, Select '95, Juggernaut,  Select Junior (1990 & younger), Elite AAA (1996 & older), Select Senior AA (1996 & older), Select Senior A (1996 & older), Select Women's, Select Girl's (1998 & younger), and Select Masters (1978 & older).

A Maximum of Two Teams Per Division Are Selected Per State/Province
Once each state tryout is completed, the USRHC staff will select 8 skaters and 1-2 goaltenders to represent their state in their respective birth year division. Only a maximum of 2 teams will represent their state at State Wars in each division. The hosting HOME state may field unlimited amounts of teams per birth year.  See rules on Juggernaut, Junior, Senior, Womens, Girls, and Masters Divisions as well in the OPEN DIVISIONS section.

8 Skaters & 1-2 Goaltenders Per Team
As stated above, the USRHC staff will select 8 skaters and 1-2 goaltenders to represent their state at State Wars. The USRHC may add 1-2 skaters to a final roster if it is in the best interest of the team. 

Youth Teams Selected By USRHC
For each tryout, the United States Roller Hockey Commission (USRHC) will send out an unbiased selection committee to run each tryout and make the selections for each specific team. Local politics and biases will not be determining factors at the tryouts. The staff sent to each tryout will have no affiliation to the state in question and their identities will not be made public. 

Opportunity To Play With Top Players In State/Province
What makes a state team so special is the fact that all the players selected will be the top players for their birth year in their entire state. That is a huge honor and accomplishment. Now players will get a chance to play with other players whom they normally never get a chance to, many times it will be rival players. Here new relationships and friendships can be formed which will help our sport evolve at both a local and national level.

Team North America Will Be Selected
What better place to select Team America than at an event where the best players in every state are competing.  At State Wars we will have a special award ceremony that will take place after the completion of all round robin games and before the playoffs begin. At this ceremony we will announce each divisions: High Scorer, Best Defensive Player, Most Valuable Goaltender and Team America. There will be 10 Skaters and 2 goaltenders named to each divisions Team America.

Custom State/Provincial Home/Away Projoy Jerseys
One of the biggest honors of making your state/provincial team will be the first time you put on your custom state/provincial jersey. Only players selected as the best in their state/province will have the chance to own such an impressive jersey. Every player will receive a custom home and away jersey from Projoy, that is theirs to keep. Each jersey will have the players own # and last name sublimated into the back of it. All state/provincial jerseys will have the same exact style as all the others, the only difference will be the state name and state colors. Each year, the jersey design will change making each jersey very unique and special.

State/Provincial Team Pants Supplied By Sponsors (Mission & Tour)
Every age division will be sponsored by a specific hockey company. That company will supply the team pants to every team within that age division.  The top two Sponsors are Mission Hockey and Tour Hockey.

Archived Stats & Standings
Our website is very unique in the fact that the stats and standings will be archived year after year. Players will be able to look back and see what their team and personal stats were at State Wars. They will also be able to look back someday and show their kids that they made and played for their state/provincial roller hockey team.

At our website at www.statewarshockey.com you will be able to check out each state teams roster and player profile way before you even get to State Wars. Each state will have its own webpage with all team information, rosters, and player profiles. Check out the competition before you get on the rink at www.statewarshockey.com

Awards: High Scorer, Best Defensive Player, & Most Valuable Goaltender
At the conclusion of all round robin play a player in each specific age division will be presented with one of the above stated awards. The playoffs will not affect these awards. This allows each player the same opportunity to earn these achievements.

Individual Award For Championship Game MVP
The MVP will be awarded at the conclusion of the Championship Game. This special player will recieve a FREE pair of skates from either Mission or Tour.

Gold, Silver, & Bronze Medals Are Awarded
There will be both a gold medal and bronze medal game to determine the top 3 teams in each age division. The award ceremony will take place after these two games are completed to ensure that all players are acknowledged for their achievements.

Pride & Honor In Representing Your State/Province
The feeling of pride and honor comes from representing something or someone. Playing for your state/provincial team is something to be proud of but representing your state/province and its hockey players is an honor. State Wars Hockey...Pride and Honor.
