Four Questions With Alex Katz

Alex Katz is a 5’11” left-handed pitcher from St. John’s University.  He hails from New Hyde Park, NY and as a true freshman last year; he saw action in 22 games for the Red Storm.

Alex spent the majority of this past summer pitching for Shelter Island Bucks of the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League. He also briefly pitched for the YD Red Sox of the Cape Cod League to end the summer.

While pitching for the Bucks, Alex went 3-2 and sported a 2.75 era in 36 innings of work. He also fanned 37 batters for Shelter Island. As a member of the Red Sox staff, he pitched 2.2 innings and struck out a pair of batters.

Alex recently answered four questions for us.

Playing with great people and ballplayers from schools across the country.

SBI---What are some of your personal goals for this upcoming season at St. John’s?

Play my hardest every game and help the team to win ballgames.
