Dear Prospective Player: I would like to take a minute to welcome you to the Toledo Cherokee. The Cherokee offer one of the premier development programs in Tier III Junior hockey. In our 22 year history the Cherokee have qualified for the post season in each season since its inception. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you for our upcoming tryout. The Cherokee will hold one main camp the weekend of August 2nd – 4th in Toledo OH at the Team Toledo Ice House. The first step in becoming a Toledo Cherokee member for the 2013-2014 season is to register on our website at www.cherokeehockey.com. Registration is limited and on a first come-first served basis. Please fill out the tryout application and send to the address listed on the form. The Cherokee coaching staff looks forward to seeing you this summer at our camp. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR HOME GAMES
The Toledo Cherokee proud members of the NA3HL are looking for volunteers for the upcoming season. The club is looking to fill the following positions for all 24 home games. Goal Judges, Penalty Box Attendants, Ticket Takers, as well as other positions. Every volunteer will receive two FREE tickets for family and friends for the game they are scheduled to work. Toledo Cherokee Forward Jordan Fogarty wins Academic Achievement AwardFRISCO, TEXAS – The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its award winners for the 2012-13 season, which include: Most Valuable Player, Forward of the Year, Defenseman of the Year, Goaltender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, General Manager of the Year and Organization of the Year, along with its All-NA3HL 1st and 2nd Teams, Community Service and Academic Award winner as voted by the league’s coaches and general managers. Toledo Cherokee forward Jordan Fogarty (Adrian, MI) was honored with the NA3HL Academic Achievement Award. The 5’6’’ 155 lbs 17 year old played his first season of junior hockey with Cherokee this year where he scored 19 goals to go along with 23 assist for a total of 42 points for the rookie forward. As a junior he attends Madison High School where he ranks number 1 in his class out of 100 students. Fogarty currently has a 4.095 GPA out of a 4.0 scale. Jordan scored a 30 on the ACT test. “I am very happy for Jordan and his family, not only did he have a great rookie season on the ice, his classroom work is very impressive. As you get to know Jordan you can tell rather quickly that this young man is going to be very successful in life after junior/college hockey.” said Head Coach Kenny Miller Ticket InformationSeason Passes are available for $80.00 each.
