PRESS BOXOUTLAWS SIGN SPHL ALL-TIME LEADING GOAL SCORER ROB SICH
Williamsport, P.A. – On Monday, October 1st Outlaws’ Team President & Head Coach Chris Firriolo announced the signing of the Southern Professional Hockey League All-Time Leading Goal Scorer Rob Sich. Sich, a Lasalle, ON native, was named the SPHL Player of the Year in both the 2006-2007 season after scoring 46 goals and recording 46 assists for 92 points in 51 games and in the 2009-2010 season where he smashed his own league mark scoring 63 goals and 35 assists for 98 points. Sich is presently the all-time leader in goals scored with an astonishing 259 goals in 345 games. The 6’0 195lb veteran forward began his professional career in the United Hockey League in 2004-2005 with the Motor City Mechanics before embarking on a 7-year career in the SPHL with brief stops in the ECHL. Sich set most of his scoring records while winning two league MVPs with the Fayetteville FireAntz. Sich is a two-time first-team All-SPHL Selection and was the SPHL Rookie of the Year in the 2005-2006 season In 2006-2007, Sich help lead the Fayetteville FireAntz to the SPHL President’s Cup Championship. “Rob is a tremendous impact player that will bring an enormous amount of excitement and experience to our organization,” said Outlaws’ Head Coach Chris Firriolo. “That experience, both on and off the ice, will be invaluable to our organization and within our community as we grow and build a brand and product our fans will be excited to embrace.
