Fighting Saints land standouts after Free Agent Camp
St.Clair Shores, MI - After the conclusion of the first annual SCS Fighting Saints Free Agent Camp the team has begun to fill out the roster for the 2016-17 season. The first two major signings following the camp are standout defensemen Luke Eibler and rookie Brandon Fehd.
Both players bring experience to the roster at various levels. Eibler comes to the Fighting Saints through the league draft after playing a handful of games with the Berlin River Drivers last season. Prior to the FHL Eibler player 4 years of NCAA Division 1 hockey at Northern Michigan University as well as Northeastern University. Luke brings size and eadership to the defensive core as well a great vision of the game.
Brandon Fehd is a first year professional hockey player who has drawn interest from various leagues across Europe and North America.
Coming in to the SCS free agent camp looking to prove himself, the former four year NCAA Division 3 player stood out continually as one of the best overall players at forward or defense throughout the weekend. A smaller defenseman, with a tenacity on the puck and great agility he is expected to make an impact from game 1 of the inaugural season. Having the speed to create offense directly from his defensive plays will be a strong asset, in the very physical Federal Hockey League In the coming weeks the Fighting Saints will continue to announce additions to the roster as training camp will open mid-October.
