DiCristofaro Returns Home
St.Clair Shores, MI - The St. Clair Shores Fighting Saints are excited to announce the signing of reigning FHL Champion and St Clair Shores native, Andy DiCristofaro.
Coming off an amazing season playing for the Port Huron Prowlers as well as spending time in the SPHL, DiCristofaro will be expected to play big minutes for the Fighting Saints.
Playing his college hockey at Robert Morris University, DiCristofaro made his name known throughout the professional hockey scene in his rookie season posting a .909 save percentage in the FHL along with a .923 in the playoff run for Port Huron.
Coming from a large hockey family that has been an instrumental part of youth hockey in St Clair Shores, DiCristofaro himself currently provides goaltending lessons to youth hockey players in the area during the offseason.
With the addition of Andy to the Fighting Saints inaugural season roster General Manager Brandon Contratto is extremely pleased with the current goaltending situation, “Having Pechek and Dicristofaro puts us in a great spot, arguably two of the top goalies in the entire league battling for the number one spot is the best thing a coach can ask for. Game time is in their hands and we believe that they will hold each other accountable throughout the year.”
More local signings will be announced for the Fighting Saints in the coming month.
