2001’s HIT MID SEASON STRIDE
The Pee Wee Minor Ohio AAA Blue Jackets have hit mid-season stride! The young Jackets went undefeated this past holiday weekend to win the Bauer Music City Invitational. This ends a strong month of December where the boys have gone 10-1-and 3 with wins over great teams such as the Cleveland Barons, Pittsburgh Vipers, Milwaukee Admirals, Victory Honda, Phoenix Coyotes, and TPH Thunder. The team has likewise often refused defeat and has posted ties with the Dallas Stars and Little Caesars South.
“In addition to working hard in practice we are now reaping the benefits of a strong Summer of preparation (the boys shot a team total of 104,145 pucks, 38,910 pushups, 43,370 sit ups, 42,350 squats, and 14,059 minutes of stick handling); Fall of off the ice chalk talks and film review sessions; and a voluntarily season long third night of team training which alternates weeks between the Hockey Training Center and the Sweatbox Gym to build strength.” said Coach Todd Ehrie, “We aspire to maintain our stride and finish strong in the Tier 1 Elite league and therefore the nation.”
