Huge game by Martinez boosts Arizona Hitmen over Las Vegas Aces, 6-3

Tony Martinez had two goals and two assists to lead Arizona Hitmen to a 6-3 victory over Las Vegas Aces.

Martinez's tallies came at 7:09 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Arizona Hitmen and 10:41 into the first to make the score 3-1 Arizona Hitmen.

Arizona Hitmen got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game.

Arizona Hitmen additionally got points from Zach Medlock, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nate Haveman also scored for Arizona Hitmen. In addition, Arizona Hitmen received assists from Joe Soucy and Chris Longo, who contributed one each.

Las Vegas Aces did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Las Vegas Aces averages 5.8 goals per game.

Las Vegas Aces was helped by Steven Hoernicke, who grabbed one goal. Hoernicke scored 6:49 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nick Lombardo provided the assist. Las Vegas Aces also had goals scored by Craig Sachen and Jerred Amick, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Las Vegas Aces were John Pierce, who had one.

Arizona Hitmen's Isaac Ritschel stopped 18 shots out of the 21 that he faced. Arizona Hitmen avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. Don Ruccia recorded 11 saves for Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas Aces ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
