Blaine McCauley Takes the Helm of the Toronto Monarchs

The Arena Lacrosse League is proud to announce Blaine McCauley as the GM and Head Coach of the Toronto Monarchs. Currently the Head Coach of the Halton Hills Jr. B Bulldogs McCauley is the winningest coach in franchise and league history in both the regular season and playoffs.

“I am honored to be named the GM and Head Coach of the Toronto Monarchs of the Arena Lacrosse League, it is an exciting time for lacrosse. The NLL is the top box lacrosse league in the world and is a tough league to make, to give players an opportunity to continue playing and showcase their skills is what our league is all about” stated McCauley.

In 2007 McCauley led the Bulldogs to the Ontario East Final losing to the Green Gaels. The following season they came second to Six Nations in the Ontario Final and in 2010 marked the first time in franchise history the Bulldogs won both the Ontario and Canadian Championships that included a double-overtime thriller over Mimico to with the Founders Cup.

“I will surround myself with solid lacrosse people and give all that I have to make this team successful and to develop players for the next level. The ultimate goal is to win a championship and there is plenty of work to be done to reach our goal, but we will work tirelessly to get there” he added.

Toronto will play the first game in the ALL history on January 7th, 2017 against the Paris RiverWolves at the Tributes Communities Centre (formally GM Centre) in Oshawa, part of the ALL season opener Showcase Event tripleheader; game time is 1pm. For tickets visit www.tributecommunitiescentre.com.
