Dundas defending record 8th Robertson Cup

DUNDAS - There were tense moments, but the Dundas Real McCoys prevailed and won its 8th John Ross Robertson Senior AAA Hockey championship with a 5-4 victory over the Hamilton Steelhawks in the JL Grightmire Arena.
Dundas won the Ontario Hockey Association Senior AAA best-of-three series two games to one in games as Burlington’s Shane Conacher scoring the winning goal. It has been noted previously that he is the fifth generation of Canada’s Athlete of First Half Century (1950s) as voted by The Canadian Press, Lionel Pretoria Conacher.
Tonight (March 2nd) the Round-Robin competition opens for the 2023 John Ross Robertson Cup as the Real McCoys will play the Wentworth Gryphins in the Harry Howell Arena at 7:30 p.m.
The second game of the series will be Friday March 10th when the Hamilton Steelers travel to the Grightmire Arena to play Dundas.
Two days later on Sunday March 12th Wentworth will be in Hamilton for game three. On Thursday the 16th Hamilton will be in the Harry Howell Arena. The series winds down on Friday (March 24th) when the Wentworth Gryphins plays in Dundas. The final game is Sunday, March 26 when Dundas plays Hamilton in the Dave Andreychuk (Mountain) Arena. All games begin at 7:30 p.m.
