Tigers Score Come From Behind Victory

Stoney Creek would score five times in the final 20-minutes of play to comeback from a 3-0 deficit on the road to beat the Dundas Real McCoys. Cordell James would find the back of the net three times in the victory, including an insurance marker on the power play.
The Real McCoys started the game off strong, scoring twice through two periods of play with Mackenzie Wood scoring at 18:34 of the first and 5:11 of the second.
Slater Doggett would give Dundas a 3-0 just 45 seconds into the final period for his second goal of the year. From there it was all Stoney Creek. Cole Poliziani got the Tigers on the board with his first of the season, followed by a pair of goals from James at 8:13 and 11:21, with the latter on the power play, to even the score at three.
Dundas got into some penalty trouble in the final eight minutes of the contest which the Tigers took advantage of. Bryan McGregor scored what would be the game winner at 13:41 with the extra man. James completed the hat trick just over a minute later.
Daniel Svedin picked up his league leading seventh win of the season, stopping 33 of 36 shots. Mike Mole took the loss for the McCoys, making 21 saves.
Stoney Creek returns home on Saturday to host the Wentworth Gryphins at Gateway Ice Centre starting at 6:30pm while Dundas will look to regroup when they host the Gryphins on Friday January 19th at the J. L. Grightmire Arena starting at 7:30pm.
