2017 BANTAM NATIONALS: DAY 2 RECAP

DAY 2

After one day of lacrosse teams were back on the floor Monday, August 1st to do it all over again. Here’s your recap of everything Bantam Nationals.

Game 9: Quebec vs Alberta

To start the second day of the tournament Alberta opens the day with a battle against Quebec. Alberta came out strong and never looked back going through this tournament now 3-0 in the win column. Alberta takes this game easily with a 13 -1 win over Quebec.

 

Game 10: Saskatchewan vs Ontario

Ontario looking to extend their tournament to a 4-0 streak came out against Saskatchewan. Starting strong and building a lead Saskatchewan never backed down even when the scoresheet wasn’t in their favor. Ironside, goaltender for Saskatchewan faced a huge amount of shots in this one and Ontario overpowered Saskatchewan with a 12-2 final score.

 

Game 11: Nova Scotia vs First Nations

Nova Scotia and First Nations put on a great show. Cam MacDonald put on a scoring clinic with a sock trick (6 goals) before First Nations battled back to tie the game 9-9.

 

Game 12: Quebec vs Manitoba

Both of these teams were looking for their first win of the tournament. Manitoba ended up taking this defensive battle with a final score of 5-4 over Quebec.

 

Game 13: Alberta vs Ontario

In a battle of the two top teams of the tournament Ontario dominated the scoreboard throughout this whole game. Credit to Alberta though, as they played well and just didn’t get the bounces. Final score goes Ontario 13-2 over Alberta. Ontario remains undefeated.

 

Game 14: First Nations vs British Columbia

British Columbia came out and put on a shooting clinic of their own sweeping First Nations 10-0.

 

Game 15: Nova Scotia vs Saskatchewan

In the final game of the day was another defensive battle and in the last minute of the game a 4-4 tie was broke by Cam MacDonald of Nova Scotia to give Nova Scotia a 2-1 record on the tournament and a final score in this one 5-4 over Saskatchewan.
