2017 BANTAM NATIONALS: DAY 3 RECAP

DAY 3

After two days of lacrosse round robin action teams are starting to separate themselves and set up playoff brackets. Here’s your recap of everything Bantam Nationals on Tuesday, August 2nd

 

Game 16: British Columbia vs Alberta

In the first game of the day Alberta was looking to gain some distance between them, Nova Scotia and British Columbia. In a stunner of a game British Columbia won 7-3 over Alberta.

 

Game 17: Saskatchewan vs First Nations

 Saskatchewan put up another fight through the game and had a tie game through two and one-half periods. First Nations scored 4 unanswered goals as Saskatchewan got into penalty trouble and ended up losing this one 8-4 to First Nations.

 

Game 18: Manitoba vs Ontario

Ontario looking to remain undefeated through the tournament went to work against the young Manitoba team. Ontario demolished Manitoba 20-2 final score.

 

Game 19: Alberta vs Nova Scotia

Alberta looking to right the ship after the stunning loss to British Columbia on Day 2 went to work immediately on Nova Scotia. There was no looking back for Alberta in this one as they controlled the game and won easily 12-0.

 

Game 20: British Columbia vs Saskatchewan

The stands were full for this game between British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The first period saw each team locked at one goal until the final 10 seconds when BC got their second of the game. The rest of the game was all British Columbia as they went on to win 10-1 2over Saskatchewan.

 

Game 21: Ontario vs Quebec

Ontario came out looking to remain undefeated. They had no trouble in this one, as the offense flexed their muscles and scored almost at will. Final score was 17-1 over Quebec.

 

Game 22: First Nations vs Manitoba

In the final game of the day Manitoba and First Nations had a hard fought battle. First Nations defense did everything they could to keep the Manitoba scorers off the scoresheet, to no avail. Manitoba took an early lead and didn’t let up. Manitoba wins this one 8-4 over First Nations.
