Bee Jays Name Two Assistants for 2026
The Liberal Bee Jay coaching staff is coming into form. Head coach Caeden Trenkle has added a pitching coach and a hitting coach for the upcoming summer. The pitching coach is Gino Cozzi and the hitting coach is Jonny Baileys.
Gino Cozzi is from Downers Grove, Illinois. He played two years at North Iowa Area Community College then went to the University of Montevallo in Alabama where he obtained top five in strikeouts, innings pitched, and starts. He is currently a volunteer coach at the University of Montevallo.
The hitting coach Jonny Baileys is from Tipp City, Ohio. He went to Tippecanoe High School where he was 1st team all Ohio in 2021 hitting .452 with 43 RBI's. He played college ball at Edison State Community College and Eastern New Mexico where he had the second highest slugging percentage in school history. He went to Tiffin University and graduated with a BA in sports leadership. Baileys played pro ball in Texas for the Pecos Bills. He is head varsity coach at Stivers School for the Arts.
