The Brockville Tikis had trouble taming the Perth Blue Wings, losing to them 5-2 at the Memorial Centre on Wednesday.

The Tikis started the scoring with  Rocco Barresi wiring the puck past goalie Johnathan Peacock on a breakaway eight minutes into the first period.

About a minute later the Blue Wings tied things up with former Tikis Noah Fisher getting an assist on the play. Fisher, in his first game back at the Memorial Centre since leaving Brockville and joining Perth, finished the night with two assists.

From there the Blue Wings took command of the game on way to scoring four unanswered goals.

After jumping out to a quick start, Brockville wasn’t able to get back on the scoreboard until there was just four minutes left in the game with Tom Callaghan finding the back of the net.

Perth added an empty netter in the last eight seconds of regulation to round out the scoring.

Despite the Blue Wings having the best winning percentage in the CCHL2, the loss is a bit of a tough one for the Tikis who were looking to have their record above .500 for the first time this season and the previous one.

Brockville will host the Clarence Beavers on Saturday at the Memorial Centre. Puck drop is 7:45 p.m.
