Charity bowl-a-thon announced
Members of the Tigers organization will be hosting a charity bowl-a-thon on Saturday, Aug. 12 to raise money for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The event, which is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start at Bowl 360 in Ozone Park, will cost just $40, which includes two hours of unlimited bowling, followed by a raffle-drawing and a chance to win prizes. All proceeds generated from the event will be donated to St. Jude, a leading children's hospital, in memory of Kayden Polius (the daughter of Leticia and Chris Polius), Walter Chaluisant (the father of Tigers' manager Walter), and Glenn Beyer's mother Marian.
