Players of the week for 4-28
For the second time in a row this year, Ryan Smith has been named player of the week. He threw a complete game shutout against an improving Diamondbacks team who are still trying to find themselves after picking up Cheyenne Berges and Ronny Ogando. Not only did Smith pitched a complete game, but he threw a one hitter and striking out 14 Dbacks. This victory helps the beers move up in the standings. As predicted once Smith is on the mound, he will pitch his heart out by carrying his team to a victory.
On the hitting side, MABL would like to congratulate another Beer; Dylan Gantley for his offensive spark. In both games, Dylan went 3 for 6 with 4 rbi's and 3 runs scored. Throughout the past years, the beers haven't known to be an offensive team. In fact, if Dylan continues to produce, it will be a long day for opposing pitchers.
