Diamondbacks take 3 of 4 vs Bravos

Diamondbacks 12 Los Bravos 7 (gm 1)

On Saturday, the Diamondbacks came out with a chip on their shoulder by defeating Los Bravos in a high scoring affair. Victor Rivera started the game for the Dbacks. Victor held the Bravos with 2 earned runs 6 strike outs and pitching 6 innings of quality start first his first victory of the season. On the other hand, Christian Salcedo started for the Bravos who was more of a liable starter. He pitched decent by keeping the Diamondback hitters off balance. Salcedo gave up 1 run in 4 innings of play in earning a no decision. Later on the game Bryant Fuentes came in the game in relief to shut the door down for 2 innings and striking out 4. Bravos blew a 5-1 lead when manager Bravo decided to save Fuentes for the next game by putting in knuckle baller Mike Allyn, Allyn did not last an inning where the rally for the Diamondbacks started in the last inning. After Allyn came in relief Reynoso and 2nd rotational starter Maury Baez came in relief. They couldn't seal the deal as Rodney Newell and Anthony Gomez were the players of the game by providing the offence in going 4-8 with 5 rbi's combined.

Diamondbacks 3 Los Bravos 2 (gm 2)

Game 2 of the 4 game set goes to the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks decided to go with a young stud of theirs Rudy Estrella. The manager from Los Bravos decided to go with his horse Bryant Fuentes. Both Fuentes and Estrella were in a pitchers duel until the 6th inning. Los Bravos Struck first when veteran Lester Guzman drove in the first run of the game with a bloop single to right. In the bottom of the inning, the Diamondbacks scored 3 unanswered runs as once again Rodney Newell came clutch with 2 more hits. Estrella took the best of Fuentes by completing the game while striking out 14 Bravos. 

Diamondbacks lose game 3 vs Los Bravos 

Diamondbacks 4 Los Bravos 2 (gm 4)

To conclude the 4 game set, the Dbacks gave the ball to Cheyenne Berges. It was all or nothing for the Diamondbacks as Berges completed the game with 13 strikeouts. Los Bravos went wit Notre Dame Phenom Kevin Frost. Frost has been very rusty in the pitching department by going 3 2/3 innings pitched, 2 runs and 3 strikeouts. In the final game of the series Rodney Newell went 2 for 3 driving in 2 more runs. In this series, Newell had a .600 avg.with 5 rbis to jump into first under the RBI category of MABLNYC. Los Bravos have struggled offensively almost all season long, but has kept themselves in every game with their pitching.
