SPORTS at the PARK

The Cambridge SPORTS PARK has set aside one ice rink on Thursday mornings from 10:00am to 11:00am.  This opportunity will start on THURSDAY, JANUARY 5TH, 2017

The purpose is to offer ice time for any exceptional individual who may have either developmental or physical disabilities to enjoy time skating or learn to skate.

After skating is done everyone is able to go upstairs and have their lunch together with everyone who has come that dayJ  This allows for people to enjoy meeting new friends or spend time with old friends in a place that encourages building relationships, instead of packing up their skates and leaving immediately.  Lunch is not provided by the Sports Park.  There are vending machines for drinks or snacks.

If community programs have people who would like to come and watch and have lunch with everyone they are welcome to do soJ

During the spring/summer/fall months, people will also have the opportunity to play baseball/t-ball or volleyball or skating as the skating arena is available year-round.

The Sports Park staff is not responsible for anyone who is there, will not be participating in any of the sports and will not assist anyone in putting on their equipment.

Persons who require a support staff are required to have them with them at all times.

If a person is independent they are welcome to come independently.

All skaters must have their own skates and a CSA helmet when on the ice.

Playing baseball/t-ball the players must wear a CSA helmet also.

The fee for participating is $7.00/person skating or playing sports.

Each person participating must sign the waiver form and pay $7.00 for each time they come.

Caregivers or support staff who is there to assist persons do not pay to skate or play sports, but they must sign the waiver form each time they come.
