The Torrington Titans outdone by Ward and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs, 6-5

TJ Ward had two extra base hits, helping the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-12) to a 6-5 victory over the Torrington Titans (7-12) on Friday at Doyle Field .

He homered in the fourth inning, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

Scott Webster recorded his first win of the year for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Webster struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.

Nick Williams ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs were sparked by Ward and Angelo Navetta, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
