Sean Mooney threw eight scoreless innings to lift the Nashua Silver Knights (29-17) to an 8-0 win over the Worcester Bravehearts at Holman Stadium.
Eight runs in the opening three innings allowed the Nashua Silver Knights to easily put away the Worcester Bravehearts (31-16). A solo home run by Mickey Gasper and an RBI single by Anthony Fava during the first inning and an RBI single by Harry Roberson in the second inning fueled the Nashua Silver Knights' offense early.
The Nashua Silver Knights were led by Gasper's hitting. Gasper went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run.
Zach Whitaker (4-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
