Logan Greene went 4-4 at the plate, sparking the Bristol Blues (22-25) to a 7-2 victory over the Torrington Titans (18-28) on Friday at Muzzy Field.
He singled in the second, third, fifth, and seventh innings.Izzy Fuentes got the win for the Bristol Blues thanks to seven strikeouts. Fuentes allowed two earned runs, three hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings.
Evan Klugerman racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Torrington Titans. He homered in the second inning.
The Bristol Blues' lineup had no answer for Nick Rubino. Rubino held the Bristol Blues hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Connor Lewis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
