WolfPack Fall to Calgary But Come Back with Win Against Okanagan

Calgary, Alberta – After a tough loss on Friday night (April 29th) against the University of Calgary Dinos, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack fell to the Dinos again today but came back in game two with a big win against the Okanagan College Coyotes. The ‘Pack fell to the Dinos 3-2 and beat the Coyotes 3-0.

 

Regan Gillis (Fort McMurray, Alberta) started game one for the ‘Pack. He went all eight innings, allowing three runs on nine hits. He struck out one and walked none.

Blayne Halland (Kamloops, BC) went 2-2 in the first game with a double and two walks. Ethan Mohan (Calgary, Alberta) went 1-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Tony Tabor (White Rock, BC) went 1-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base. Evan Douglas (White Rock, BC) went 1-4 with a run scored and a stolen base.

Ethan Mohan – 1-3, 2 RBIs, BB, K

Tony Tabor – 1-3, run, BB, SB

Rookie Tyler Hodder (Fort McMurray, Alberta) had another great performance on the mound for the WolfPack. He threw a complete game shutout against the Coyotes, only allowing six hits and two walks. He struck out six.

Anthony Grouette (Calgary, Alberta) came up with the big hit for the ‘Pack as he brought in the first run of the game with a RBI single in the top of the eighth. He went 1-4 with the RBI and a run scored. Evan Douglas went 2-4 in game two with a RBI. Tony Tabor went 1-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base. Blayne Halland went 2-4 with a double and a run scored. Josh Hillis (Calgary, Alberta) went 1-3 with a RBI single and a walk.
 

Isiah McDonald (Grand Forks, BC) also had a hit and stolen base.

The WolfPack are back in action tomorrow, looking to get back to .500. They play one game at 11am against the Okanagan College Coyotes.
