Day 3 Results:
10:00am- # 2 Okanagan College win 14-4 over # 5 University of Calgary in the first elimination game of the day. Jack Swinton from the Coyotes went 4-4 with a homerun to lead the OC team past the Dinos. On the mound Logan Bradford picked up his 6 win of the season. For the Dinos Tyler Armstrong went 2-4 and scored twice to pace the Dinos offence. With the loss University of Calgary was eliminated and Okanagan College advanced to semi final # 2
1:00m- # 1 Prairie Baseball Academy crush # 4 Edmonton Collegiate 18-0 in the first semi final. With the winner advancing to the championship the Dawgs bats came alive. 18 hits by PBA, with everyone in the starting lineup having at least a hit. PBA's Will Turner and Nath Garth each had homers. Dawgs starting pitcher Sean Bavis would go complete game 2 hit shutout. With the loss Edmonton would face # 2 Okanagan College in semi final # 2.
4:30pm # 4 Edmonton Collegiate comes out on top of a slug fest over the # 2 Okanagan College 21-17. With the winds blowing both teams slugged it out, 14 of the 38 hits were for extra bases including 4 homers and 9 doubles. It was a marathon game that saw 11 different pitchers combine to enter the game from both teams. With the win Edmonton would advance to Championship Sunday for the first time in their programs history.
