Current Smiths Falls Bears defenseman Brett Garvey first suited up in a CCHL regular season game back in 2011-12 when he was called up as an affiliate by the Brockville Braves. Fast forward to the conclusion of the 2016-17 season and Garvey has set the new CCHL record for career regular season games played at 289.
The record was previously held by Hawkesbury Hawks alumni Yanik Laliberte who set the mark at 288 following the 2013-14 season.
The ’96 born Ashton, ON native now heads into a playoff run with the Bears with career totals of 28 goals and 121 points.
