The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce that another alumnus will be attending an NHL Development Camp as former Carleton Place Canadians goaltender Colton Point will join the Dallas Stars.  Point was drafted in the 5th round, 128th overall by the Stars in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

A native of North Bay, ON, Point played for the Canadians during the 2015-16 season where he helped lead them to their third straight league title while being named Playoff MVP.  Carleton Place would also go on to win their third straight Fred Page Cup where Point was named to the tournament All-Star Team.

He will be heading into his Sophomore season with Colgate University this coming fall after starting 10 games in his Freshman season.
