SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Champion City Kings are revealing one player from the 2015 roster each Friday this offseason. This week, the Kings present pitcher Brian Bullock from Lake Erie College (NCAA DII, GLIAC), who will join the club for the upcoming season, which begins May 27 against the Richmond RiverRats at Carleton Davidson Stadium.

Kings management has put a great deal of effort into piecing together a roster for this season that will not only be talented, but also showcase players from Ohio and its colleges and universities. Bullock is no exception, as he was a standout at Loveland High School, near Cincinnati. Through four years as a varsity pitcher, Bullock amassed a 13-6 record and 2.31 ERA.

"Brian has already proved that he is a quality pitcher at the college level," said Kings Manager Chris Perkovich. "Breaking his way into the starting rotation as a freshman right away is huge."

Currently in his first season at Lake Erie College, Bullock is already making a name for himself. Through four starts, the right-hander is 3-1, has pitched a complete game, and owns a 1.96 ERA. Bullock was also named GLIAC South Division Pitcher of the Week last week for his efforts.

"He is a strike thrower and has very good off-speed to offset his fast ball," said Perkovich. "After having quality innings during the Spring, he will bring good experience to the mound for us this summer.

The Kings begin the 2015 season at home Wednesday, May 27 against the Richmond RiverRats at 7:05 p.m. Season ticket and advertising information is available by contacting General Manager Rick White via email at rwhite@championcitykings.com or by calling the team at (937) 342-0320.
