Lumber Kings Resign Smith, Others

PEMBROKE, ON:

As the Pembroke Lumber Kings closed their 2016 Training camp in preparation for the upcoming season, that included signing and resigning key aspects of our team. Today, the Lumber Kings Twitter feed (@PLKingsCCHL) has been busy, with new and old players annoucing that they will play for the Lumber Kings this upcoming season. This list includes returning 'Kings netminder Jacob Smith. Smith was drafted by Pembroke in 2014, and the next year went on to be selected in the OHL Priority selection by the Ottawa 67s.

The Lumber Kings also signed Caleb Ernst. A native of Kansas, Ernst played for the U-18 Esmark Stars in the NAPHL last season, playing 25 games, scoring 8 goals, 6 assists, and earning himself 75 penalty minutes. 

Also on the list of signings, is Jarrod Vroman. Vroman played 32 games for the Belle Tire U-18 team last season , and the season prior was the captian of the Motor City Monarchs in the MWJHL, earning himself 10 goals, and 45 assists. 

Another noteable name was Matt Barnaby, Barnaby was signed by the Lumber Kings after playing a season with the Avon Old Farms School in the USHS.
