🚨 MUSKEGON CLIPPERS ANNOUNCE BRIAN WRIGHT AS NEW HEAD COACH 🚨
MUSKEGON, MI – [August 12, 2025] – The Muskegon Clippers are thrilled to name Brian Wright as the third head coach in franchise history, officially taking the helm for the 2026 season.
A living legend in West Michigan baseball, Wright enters his 45th year as head coach at Shelby High School and has been the steady hand behind the Clippers’ dugout as an assistant for the past 10 seasons. His unmatched knowledge of the game, dedication to player development, and deep roots in the baseball community make him the perfect choice to lead the Clippers into an exciting new era.
“Brian Wright is more than a coach—he’s a cornerstone of the baseball community,” said Clippers owner Pete Gawkowski. “His decades of experience, passion for the game, and understanding of our program make him the ideal leader for our next chapter.”
Wright follows Logan Fleener, who guided the team for four outstanding seasons, amassing a 94–68 record, setting a Great Lakes League record in 2023 with a 33–7 season, and leading the Clippers to their first-ever championship series appearance in 2024.
With Coach Wright at the helm, the Clippers are ready to build on that success and chase even bigger goals in 2026 and beyond.
